It’s okay to feel bad at times. We are human and it makes sense that we have ups and downs in our life. Sometimes we have the motivation to the sky, and other times we feel defeated. Here are our top 5 ideas to motivate the artist within. Pick one that works for you, they are all different
1. Use That Emotion
Where do you think sad songs come from? Exactly this. There is a reason those songs are so relatable, and this is because we all feel bad sometimes and this is okay, but as artists, we can actually use this negative emotion and create something beautiful with that. Let this emotion out on a piece of paper instead of keeping it inside.
2. Just Stop It
Sometimes we just need to trick our brain a little bit. When we tell ourselves something over and over, we start believing it. It requires you to actually take it seriously and do some convincing. But if that doesn’t work for you – try the next way.

3. Just Do It
It sounds similar to the previous tip but, it’s actually different. If you failed to trick your brain, let’s trick your body. You know how sometimes you are not hungry, but then you take a bite and that’s it… now you have to eat. It’s working the same way, sometimes all we have to do: is just start. Just start with something small and slowly you will get into it.
4. External Inspiration
Sometimes, all you need to do is to listen to some music that inspires you. A favorite song that you love has a powerful effect to remind you why are you doing it in the first place. Watch motivation videos on YouTube to help get you back on track.
5. Take A Break
For some people, working isn’t going to help, and all you need is to take a short break, take a deep breath and think where do you want to be at the moment – now go there. Go and do something for yourself, to release the stress. Don’t pressure yourself into work if you know nothing good is going to come out of this. It is better to spend a day relaxing and then come back in a better mood the next day.
