Latest News:  I am slowly working on new songs. I am taking my time to release them. Right now besides taking my time to work on my writing and my craft I am also working on my new podcast called “The Hustler Musician”. I think that nowadays podcasting is getting big and is a great way to make your audience know you better as a person. I was feeling my followers and people in general didn’t know me well. So I came up with this project as a way to connect better with my audience.
Alessa, thank you for joining us today at VQS. Take us back in time to how you first fell in love with music.
Hello! I am Alessa Ray, singer songwriter and now I new podcaster. My music is a little bit of a mix, I don’t consider myself to have a solid style since I do what I feel when I feel inspired. But I believe one of my main influences is Caro Emerald since she does electro tango, electro swing and a little bit of pop. I like to put spice to my songs and put a bit of theatrical vibe as well. Regarding to lyrics I like to tell stories. I write it as if I’m writing a movie.
What 3 core values do you believe are necessary for success?
– Be consistent with your craft, practice and work every day on it.
– Think outside the box.
– Surround yourself with people who inspire you in some way.

Who have been some of your favorite people/projects to work with?
Usually I work by myself. If I need to hire someone I just hire, but I am an independent artist. One of my favorite and most fun projects so far has been working on mu “Mamacita” music video. My friends all came to support me that day of the shoot and it wouldn’t be the same without their support. Because of my friends the video looked super full and fun, and the dancers also took the video to the next level. I feel very grateful for having people who support me.
What future opportunities would you like to be involved with?
I would like to have a cover band to perform at cruise ships, corporate events, weddings where we can be able to tour. Also I would be very interested in doing voice acting and podcasting.
