Hi Anna, welcome to VQS!
Tell us a little bit about you and your music.

I’m a singer/songwriter born and raised outside of Boston. I moved to Boston in 2013 to attend Berklee College of Music and pursue by dreams of being a songwriter. I began writing my first album, “LOVE LIFE” back in 2016 and finished it this year. The pandemic really pushed me to release this album.

At first I was too nervous to put anything out because it is all so personal to me, but I couldn’t pass up the idea of someone out there connecting with my music in their own personal way. I love moving others.

I guess you could say I write a lot of sad ballads, but I really just write exactly how I’m feeling basically as it’s happening.

The album covers breakups, a falling out with a friend, crying and contemplating life choices alone in my apartment, you name it. My music is made to move people.

Congrats on the release! What was your inspiration for this new song?

Released 7/8/21. Thank you! This song was inspired by someone I thought I could trust that absolutely demolished my heart.

I thought this person was the one, only to find out there was someone else behind the scenes.

It was one of the worst feelings in the world, finding that out. So I guess you could say that heartbreak inspired this song.

What lessons would you like to impart with your audience?

Don’t waste someone’s time if you don’t see a future with them.

More than anything, I want the person I wrote this about to hear what I’m saying and change their ways and never hurt someone like this again. As for the rest of my audience, I would hope they’d do the same.

What is your favorite part of the song?

I will always love the line, “Now this may come off rude, but quit calling me dude if you can’t live life without me”. This line always makes me laugh.
