Hemp Meadows and Denim Skye are a husband and wife
Americana Folk-Rock duo based in Nashville.
If you love the sounds of the 60s and 70s, you’ll love their signature blend of harmonies which join seamlessly with Hemp’s melodies and lyrics. From there, the magic happens. Filled with catchy melodies, strong vocals, provocative lyrics and innovative harmonies, their music is reminiscent of the days of peace and love, something they hope to bring to the modern music industry.
They believe in enjoying life, doing what you love, and chasing your dreams no matter what.
The duo performs regularly in the Nashville area to dedicated fans. As a mainstream act within their generation, having just celebrated their 35th wedding Anniversary, Hemp & Denim want to encourage fans, young and old, to enjoy life and follow their dreams. With their motivation, dedication and great stage presence, this passionate duo cannot wait to continue sharing their talents with fans and fellow musicians far and wide.

What was your inspiration when you were writing this project?
Released on February 14, 2022. When coming up with the concept, songwriter Hemp Meadows shares,
“I knew I had a chord sequence that was very romantic and I needed lyrics that could match the intensity of the music. That led me to start asking questions. What if the story behind the song was one person pleading with another not to leave and end the relationship? What if there was a real chance of them breaking up and this was the last-ditch effort to get the other person to stay? Stay is a powerful plea to avoid a breakup. A lot is on the line.
What lessons would you like to impart with your audience?
At the end of the day it’s just about genuine love and love is what everyone needs right now in this world.
The lyric video, conceived and directed by Denim and created and produced by the talented Shawn Hudgins, features captivating illustrations that convey the beautifully intricate emotions of the lyrics. You can view this on their website and YouTube page. The duo hopes that everyone who watches and listens will be inspired to create and spread more love in their lives.
Anything else we should know about it?
“Stay” is the latest single from House of Love, the duo’s first full-length LP.
Their debut single “One Step Over The Line” received a Grammy nomination-consideration for Best Americana Roots Song while Stay was considered as Pop Song of the Year. Hemp & Denim also recently appeared on Nashville’s NBC “Today In Nashville” program. They followed this up with “You Take My Breath Away,” another romantic song from the album which received national and international airplay including coverage in Scotland, Ireland and the UK on BBC Radio.
