Latest News: Right now, I am just promoting myself as a recording and mixing engineer through this new world of covid-19. As my world has mostly based in the live sound world I am trying to figure out new ways to work with artists from home.
Hi Jacob, welcome to VQS! Take us back in time to how you first fell in love with music.
I remember the first time I really started getting into music was around the age of 9 when I my dad first played the band “Rush” for me for the first time. I was really taken away by it and was something that connected with me. The next time was at the age 18 when I went to college and got super exposed to music by other creative people, it really broke me out my shell of listening to the same several bands through my teenage years. It felt like I was finding a whole new world of music for the first time, like a person experiencing Yosemite for the first time.
What 3 core values do you believe are necessary for success?
Be on time. Be positive. Be friendly.
Who have been some of your favorite people/projects to work with?
The group that I do the most work is Eva and the Vagabond Tales. The passion that Eva brings behind her music is so beautiful. Most of other favorite artists that I have worked with in live settings are Nao, K Flay, Gregory Alan Isakov and Santa Cruz.
What future opportunities would you like to be involved with?
I would love to send drums to an artist who in is need of Rock, Pop or Folk drums for their next project.
