Latest News: Lately, my project has been supporting emerging artists as a background vocalist in the weekly live streams of Sparam Entertainment. This has involved attending rehearsals and offering coaching on technique and delivery. I sing backups to enhance texture and add to the dynamic range of the performances.
A colleague in Sweden is a talented DJ producing some amazing tracks. He has just been signed by Sparam and I have been involved in writing and performing the top lines for his new single.

Linn, thank you for joining us today at VQS. Take us back in time to how you first fell in love with music.

Music has pretty much always been a big part of my life. Before I could really talk or sing, I’d be in my moms gospel choir rehearsals. I think I started in my first choir when I was three years old. I grew up on a lot of gospel, folk, hard rock and everything in between. It’s always been present and I’d say I’ve loved it for as long as I can remember.
There was one significant moment when I realized I wanted to make music my career and my life. I was listening to Fleetwood Mac’s Live Album The Dance from 1997 for the first time. All of the emotions coming through from that album just blew my little mind and it was just magic to me.

What 3 core values do you believe are necessary for success?

1. Discipline. If you want something, you have to work for it.
2. Kindness. Always treat people with kindness. Not only do people want to work with others who treat them with respect and good will, but choose to be a part of creating a positive environment for every one. Make sure you include yourself too – treat yourself with kindness.
3. Passion. Do what you love, love what you do. I can’t imagine a greater success than that.

Who have been some of your favorite people/projects to work with?

Definitely singing background vocals for both Julian De Vizio and Lee Brown under Sparam Entertainment. I have been on gigs for both of these artist over the past 6 months and it has been a great experience. The artists, band members and Sparam Entertainment are all awesome in every way, being supportive, positive and intent on successful artist development. It’s all a big family of which we love being a part of.

What future opportunities would you like to be involved with?

I am looking forward to continue working with the Swedish DJ/producer and making great music. This project has enormous potential and I am thrilled to be a part of it. Julian De Vizio and Lee Brown are accomplished musicians in their home countries of Australia and England with huge followings. They are making definite inroads into the LA music scene. I am excited to continue being their supporting vocalist and look forward with great anticipation to the future.
My primary personal focus right now is working on my southern rock/soul project. It’s been a dream of mine for a long time and I’m really excited to finally be putting it together. I’ve also been fortunate to regularly perform at the iconic Viper Room, and look forward to its reopening. It’s a great community with amazing musicians and friends, whom I miss so much.
