NEW SINGLE
Paola delivers an impressive, heartbreaking performance.
Powerful vocals with incredible production!
Hi Paola, welcome to VQS, Tell us a little bit about you and your music.
I would describe my music to be percussive driven. I think percussion is a huge component to a fun song so I usually focus a lot of attention on that. I’m not the biggest fan of putting myself in a genre box but if I did I would say POP and leaning into Latin influence.
I listened to all kinds of music growing up, everything from Tina Turner, to Christina Aguilera, The Who and everything in between. I’ve always found females with powerful voices to be very inspirational.
“I hope everyone who listens to this song can empathize with their experience with heartbreak.” – Paola
Congrats on the release! What was your inspiration for this new single?
Released 12/11/20. I recorded my latest single in Nashville, TN. I was in a writing session with Golden West and Ryan Sorestad and we wrote a heartbreak song that we were planning on pitching to another artist. The more we all listened to the demo, however, the more we all came to the conclusion that it was something that I needed to release personally.
I had written heartbreak songs before but didn’t feel like any of them were the right song to release until this one.
How Can I? It’s all about the major conflicting feelings of a heartbreak. I chose it because it’s my first heartbreak song I’ve ever released and since I’m practicing being vulnerable, I felt like this song was a very appropriate way to do it.
“I want it to be completely normal for people to talk about going to therapy or group session.” – Paola
