REV’s back with a new single, “Destination“

Hi REV, welcome back to VQS! Tell us a little bit about you and your music.
Hi, my name is REV and I am a Brazilian pop-rock singer-songwriter. I grew up in Porto Alegre, south of Brazil, highly influenced by American music and classic teen television shows, my biggest inspirations are late 2000’s pop artists such as Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus. I always loved singing, so I started with vocal lessons when I was 8 years old and when I was 11 I began writing music collaborating with my uncle, Michel Vontobel, who is a great musician a producer. Later in 2017 I moved to LA to study music and start my international career.

Congrats on the release! What was your inspiration when you were writing this song?
Thank you! This song was written about my music journey in America and how much I enjoys doing what I love in this country. It’s a song to celebrate our journey to this country, many of my friends and I went through so much in order to follow our dreams and here we are in Los Angeles working on our music and seeing the impact it has in other people’s lives.

What is your vision for this song? What lessons would you like to impart with your audience?
My biggest vision was to inspire people to follow their dreams and to be thankful to how far I’ve got in my music career. I believe the biggest lesson from this song is that it does not matter where you are from, you have the right to choose where you call home for your own reasons.

What is your favorite part of the song?
It is definitely the chorus, the overall message of the song can be understood just by listening to that section, and I love the lyrics too.

Anything else we should know about it? Future releases? Upcoming shows?
Yes! I will be releasing my first album in May and a music video for “Destination” soon. I am very excited to share my new songs with everyone.
