“I want to seek forms of finding comforts in us being humans, and that that’s what makes us great. That the movements in our hearts is what makes our being human, simply amazing.”

Latest News: I am working on a new song which is a bit of pop, dance influence, and a lot of very subtle tropical percussions involved. Other than that, my latest song/project has been “Turn It Off” which you can hear at reverbnation. It’s actually my first single I tried with an MXL 990 condenser mic.
Sha, thank you for joining us today at VQS. Take us back in time to how you first fell in love with music
I fell in love with music at a very early age. I loved singing in the hallways of my elementary school back in Japan, and at every stage of childhood I was involved in choir classes/clubs and orchestra class with my violin. My violin didn’t last past 4 years of practice, but my singing did. When I came back to the U.S. for community college to prepare for transfer, I picked music as my major and did an ensemble class, Jazz vocal lessons, and such. When my health fell ill, I turned to productions since my voice didn’t carry well. I’ve since been composing, producing, and singing (singing, I restarted as soon as my health was on its way to getting better).

What 3 core values do you believe are necessary for success?
Hard discipline, passion, and fluidity.
Who have been some of your favorite people/projects to work with?
Definitely Philip (from VisionQuest Sound, woot woot!) with his soft and emotive Ukulele performances as well as very sophisticated and elegant sounds in engineering and production, DT aka GELECTRIC with whom I did a Funk Rock album, and Nicholas from Italy with whom I’ve done a lot of original Jazz/Bossa Novas.
What future opportunities would you like to be involved with?
A lot of collaborations, original material band possibly, and intimate concerts.
