On Feb 3rd, 2022 Kiki Yeung’s stellar cast of Asian American comedians known as ‘Crazy Woke Asians’ sold out LA’s popular comedy club: Hollywood Improv. The event was a true fundraiser for #AAPI awareness through Advancing Justice LA.
The Three Treasures team from San Diego opened up with an impressive traditional Chinese Lion Dance and drum accompaniment.
Annie Zhou performed 2 beautiful pieces on the guzheng.
Then the comedy began…
Kiki fired up the crowd for year of the water tiger!
8 comedians ripped and roared through the night. Some crazier than others. Kiki Yeung, Yuchao Mi, Ron Josol, Thom Tran, Danny Plom, Peter Kim, Ryan Koo and Ryan Archuleta.
Topics ranged from failed relationships to Asian stereotypes and everything in between. The intimate crowd engaged respectfully, just the way we like it!
The food at the Improv was more on the fast-food American side, but decent for Melrose-Hollywood.
